UPSC CDS I exam 2017 results declared, 8548 qualified for SSB interview, check result at upsc.gov.in


COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (I)-2017 – DECLARATION OF WRITTEN RESULT THEREOF 
The UPSC On  Friday declared the written exam results of the COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (I), 2017 held by the Union Public Service Commission on 05th February, 2017, 8548 candidates with the following Roll Numbers have qualified for being interviewed by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence, for admission to (i) Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 144th Course commencing in January, 2018 (ii) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, Course commencing in January, 2018 (iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course (203/F(P) commencing in February,2018 (iv) Officers Training Academy, Chennai 107th SSC Course (for Men) commencing in April, 2018 and (v) Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 21st SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in April, 2018 .

The candidature of all the candidates, whose Roll Numbers are shown in the lists below, is provisional. In accordance with the conditions of the admission to the examination, they are required to submit the original certificates in support of age (Date of Birth), educational qualifications, NCC (C) (Army Wing/Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing) etc. claimed by them along with attested copies thereof, to Army Headquarters, A.G.’s Branch/Rtg./CDSE Entry Section for males and SSC Women Entry Section for women candidates, West Block-III, Ground Floor, Wing 1, R.K. Puram, New Delhi- 110066 in case of IMA/SSC as their first choice and to IHQ of MoD (Navy), DMPR (OI & R Section), Room No. 204, ‘C’-Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011 in case of Navy as their first choice, and to PO 3 (A) Air Headquarters, ‘J’ Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan, Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110011 in case of Air Force as their first choice

The original Certificates are to be submitted within two weeks of completion of the SSB Interview and not later than 13th November, 2017 for AFA and not later than 01st January, 2018 for IMA and not later than 01st January, 2018 for admission to Indian Naval Academy (1st April, 2018 in case of SSC only). The candidates must not send the original Certificates to the Union Public Service Commission.


Candidates who have cleared the written exam must register themselves online on the Indian Army Recruiting website joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of announcement of written result. They will be allotted Selection Centres and dates, of interview which shall be communicated on the registered e-mail ID. Those who have registered earlier on the site will not be required to do so.In case of any query/Login problem, e-mail be forwarded to dir-recruiting6-mod@nic.in


The marks-sheet of candidates who have not qualified, will be put on the Commission’s website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result of OTA (after conducting SSB Interview) and will remain available on the website for a period of 60 days.

OTA Chennai Passing Out Parade(POP)- 11th March 2017

238 cadets completed training at Officers Training Academy,Chennai of SSC 103 & SSCW 17 Course
The passing-out parade of the Officers Training Academy was held at St. Thomas Mount on Saturday. A total of 238 officer cadets, including 191 gentlemen cadets, 35 lady cadets, and 12 gentleman cadets from Afghanistan, were commissioned as officers following the completion of a vigorous 49-week training course at the academy.
General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, Lieutenant General D. Anbu, reviewed the spectacular parade which was commanded by Academy Under Officer (AUO) Pushpendra Singh.
Addressing the parade, Lt. Gen. Anbu congratulated the OTA for having toiled hard to turn out a capable set of young military leaders. The parents of the cadets, dignitaries, relatives of martyrs and war heroes, and members of the diplomatic fraternity attended the event.
The ‘Sword of Honour’ and the ‘Gold Medal’ was presented to AUO Pushpendra Singh.
The Silver Medal for standing second in the Overall Order of Merit was awarded to ACA Sangram Chauhan and the Bronze Medal went to BUO Deepak Kumar Jakhar.
The banner for Champion Company was awarded to Basantar Company.
   


 
The Passing Out Cadets repeated the words “I will as in duty bound honestly  and faithfully serve in the regular Army of the Union of India and go wherever ordered by Land, Sea or Air and that I will observe and obey all commands of President of the Union of India and the command of any officer set over me even to the peril of my life” after the Adjutant Lieutenant Colonel Arjun Sharma of the JAT Regiment.
